Yoga studio software
Six in the morning, seven at night, and Saturday at eight.
A yoga studio does not run one timetable. It runs several, with the same students moving between them — and a pack that has to survive three weeks in Rishikesh. StudioOS holds every slot, every pack and every booking rule in one register.
The timetable
A week that isn't the same twice.
A class in StudioOS is not one time repeated seven times — it is a list of weekday-and-time slots. That is the whole reason weekday mornings can start at 06:00 while Saturday starts at 08:00, without running two separate classes to do it.

What actually breaks
Five things a yoga studio loses money to.
None of them are exotic. All five are a setting rather than a workaround.
- 01
The 6am regular and the 7pm regular are the same person.
One member, one pack, every slot on the timetable. Booking across morning and evening classes draws from the same allowance, so nobody is counted twice and nobody is billed twice.
- 02
She's in Rishikesh for three weeks.
Freeze the membership and the pack stops spending. Pausing credits on freeze is on by default, so a paused student does not quietly burn through classes she is not attending — and the days come back when she does.
- 03
Saturday's workshop isn't part of the timetable.
Add it as a one-off session on the day it happens. It carries its own capacity — a workshop that seats 30 in a studio whose regular classes cap at 16 — without touching the weekly recurrence or the classes either side of it.
- 04
The beginners' course is ten classes, not a month.
Generate a course by count rather than by date: ten sessions, scheduled as far forward as the recurrence needs to reach. Ask for ten and get eight, and the shortfall is reported rather than silently dropped.
- 05
Someone booked the 6am and didn't come.
Mark them absent on the register. Whether that costs them a class is a setting on their plan, not an argument at the desk — and every booking records whether it actually spent a credit.
Booking rules
The rules live on the plan, not in your head.
Six settings decide what a student may book and what it costs them. These are the defaults; every one of them is per plan, so an unlimited monthly and a ten-class pack can behave completely differently in the same studio.
| Setting | Default | What it decides |
|---|---|---|
| Cancellation window | 12 hours | Free to cancel up to this point, and the mat goes back. Inside it, the class is spent. |
| No-show consumes credit | On | A booking nobody turns up for costs the student the same as attending. It is what stops a 6am class being held empty. |
| Book-ahead limit | 30 days | How far into the published timetable one student may reach. |
| Open bookings | 3 | How many unattended bookings a student may hold at once, which is what keeps a popular Saturday from being claimed a month out. |
| Freeze pauses credits | On | A frozen membership stops drawing on the pack for as long as it is paused. |
| Allowance period | Monthly or total | A pack that tops back up each month, or a fixed number for a course. Monthly packs roll over on their own — and a pack bought on the 31st tops up on the 28th in February. |
When a booking is refused, the reason is on the screen.
There are seven, they are the same for every member of staff, and none of them require a judgement call at the front desk:
- No membership on file
- Membership isn't active
- Membership is frozen
- The class falls outside their term
- No classes left on the pack
- Too far ahead of today
- Too many bookings already open
Pricing your classes
Three ways to sell a mat.
Set per plan, mixed freely across one member list — an unlimited regular, a ten-class student and a drop-in can all be in Tuesday's 6am.
Unlimited within the term
Everything included
Every class on the timetable for as long as the membership runs. Nothing is counted; the term is the limit.
Monthly and annual regulars
A pack of classes
A set number
Ten classes, twenty, whatever you sell. Choose whether the count tops back up each month or is a fixed total for a course that ends.
Beginners' courses and casual students
Nothing upfront
Pay each class
The student pays per booking. Useful for drop-ins, visitors and the person who wants to try one Ashtanga class before committing.

FAQ
Questions a yoga studio actually asks.
Something not here? Write to support@svich.in — a person answers.
Can one class run at different times on different days?
Yes, and this is the reason the schedule is built the way it is. A class holds a list of weekday-and-time slots rather than a single time, so your Hatha can run at 06:00 Monday to Friday and at 08:00 on Saturday and still be one class, with one register and one plan attached to it. Each slot can also run longer than the others when it needs to.
What happens to a student's pack when they travel?
Freeze the membership and the pack stops spending — pausing credits on freeze is on by default. The classes they have not used are still there when they come back. If you would rather a particular plan kept counting through a freeze, that is a setting on the plan.
Can I run a ten-class beginners' course rather than a monthly plan?
Yes. Sell it as a set number of classes with the allowance as a fixed total rather than a monthly top-up, and generate the sessions by count — ask for ten and StudioOS schedules ten, extending as far forward as your recurrence needs. If a public holiday means only eight fit inside the window you asked for, the shortfall is reported rather than quietly dropped.
How do I add a workshop that isn't on the weekly timetable?
Add it as a one-off session on the date it runs. It sits outside the recurrence, carries its own capacity — a 30-mat workshop in a studio that normally caps at 16 — and can take its own notes. The weekly classes around it are untouched.
Do students book their own classes?
No — your staff take bookings, so the register stays something you control. Students get a portal at /m for their plan, expiry date, payment schedule and receipts, which is what takes the “when does mine end?” questions off the desk. Your published timetable and an enquiry form live on your public page at /g/your-studio.
Can I stop one student booking out every Saturday?
Two limits do it, both on by default and both set per plan: a student may hold three open bookings at a time, and may not book more than 30 days ahead. Combined with no-shows counting as a used class, a booked mat is one somebody actually intends to stand on.
Can I see who came to Tuesday's 6am?
Every session has its own register. A booking is marked attended or absent, and each one records whether it spent a class from the pack, so what a student has actually used stays accurate without anyone reconciling it by hand. Across the studio, attendance rolls up into check-ins by hour and an “active but absent” list of the paying students who have quietly stopped coming.
What does it cost?
Starter is $49/month for up to 250 active members, Growth is $149/month with unlimited members and the advanced automation rules, and Enterprise is priced per group for studios with more than one location. Yearly works out at ten months. Prices are per studio, not per teacher, and you can start free and import your students before deciding.
Put next week on the grid.
Draw the slots, set the cap, choose how each class is sold. Import the students you already have and the register is live the same afternoon — no card required to start.
