The best Glofox alternatives for a small gym or boutique studio are Gymdesk, PushPress, TeamUp, Mindbody, Momence and Svich. Which one is right depends on three things: whether you need a branded member app, how many active members you have, and how much you want to pay per year once add-ons are counted. Below are current published prices (as of October 2026), what Glofox’s own contract terms mean for your switch date, and a migration checklist you can copy.
Want to see a simpler setup first? Svich StudioOS and GymOS cost a flat price per studio, not per staff member, and you can start free without a card. See StudioOS or GymOS.
#Why do studio owners look for a Glofox alternative?
Most owners start looking at renewal time, when the next 12 months of fees are about to lock in. The usual reasons are price, contract terms and paying for features a 150-member studio never uses.
Glofox is now sold as ABC Glofox. ABC Fitness Solutions completed its acquisition of the Dublin-founded company in August 2022 and runs it as a business unit for boutique gyms and studios (American Spa). Its plans page says plans start at $99 per month but lists no price for the Essential, Boost or Elite tiers, and the branded app is an add-on on the first two tiers. Its FAQ says payment processing fees are charged on top.
That isn’t a bad product. A branded app and a large feature set suit some studios well. But if you mainly need memberships, class packs, a timetable and renewal reminders, you can pay a lot less.
#What do Glofox’s contract terms mean for switching?
Check your notice date before you do anything else. Glofox’s terms of service (effective March 2023) say the term auto-renews and that you must give 30 days’ written notice before it ends.
The same terms say fees already committed are non-refundable, that fees can rise at renewal, and that getting your data back after termination involves an off-boarding fee. Your own order form may differ, so read it. In practice:
- Find the end date of your current term on your order form.
- Put the notice deadline (end date minus 30 days, plus a week of buffer) in your calendar.
- Export members, plans, class history and payment records before you give notice, while the account is fully active.
- Ask in writing what the off-boarding fee is if you need help with the export.
A common mistake is to sign up with the new system, run both for two months, and then find the old contract renewed for another year. Work backwards from the notice date instead.
#Which Glofox alternatives are worth comparing in 2026?
These are the software options like Glofox that small gyms and boutique studios compare most often. Prices come from each vendor’s own pricing page as of October 2026 and exclude card processing fees.

| ABC Glofox | “From $99/month”; tiers not priced (source) | Add-on on Essential and Boost, included on Elite | Boutique studios that want their own app |
| Gymdesk | $75/month up to 50 active members with Gymdesk Payments, $100 with your own processor (source) | $100/month extra | Martial arts schools and small gyms |
| PushPress | Free plan (4.99% + $0.30 per card payment); Pro $159/month (source) | $97/month extra | CrossFit and strength gyms |
| TeamUp | $189/month for 101–200 active customers (source) | $99/month extra | Group fitness, yoga and Pilates studios |

#What does a Glofox alternative cost per year for a 180-member studio?
For a studio with 180 active members, published prices range from $490 to about $4,100 a year, depending mostly on whether you add a branded app and which payment processor you use. Add card processing on top for every option.
Gymdesk with your own processor: $4,080 with the app. Without a branded app: Gymdesk $2,400, TeamUp $2,268, PushPress Pro $1,908 a year. Glofox tier prices aren’t published, so ask for a written quote for your member count.
The gap is mostly the app. Ask yourself honestly how many members open your branded app each week. If the answer is “a few, to book a class”, a mobile web portal may do the same job for a fraction of the cost. If your members live in the app for workouts, streaming and community, the extra money may be worth it.
#How do you choose the right Glofox alternative?
Write down the five jobs you do every week, then test each tool on those jobs with real data. Feature lists won’t tell you which one your front desk will actually use.
- Selling memberships and packs. Can you set up your real plans, including a 10-class pack with monthly top-ups and a trial pass, in under an hour?
- Collecting money. How does recurring billing work, what is the processing rate, and can you see who owes what to the day?
- Running the timetable. Does it stop clashes and cap bookings so one member can’t hold every spot?
- Following up. Will it remind people before a membership ends and after a missed payment without someone remembering to do it?
- Staff access. Can an instructor see the class list without seeing your revenue?
If two tools tie, pick the one with the shorter commitment. You can always upgrade later. Getting out of a 12-month term early is much harder.
#How does Svich compare as a Glofox alternative?
Svich fits owner-run gyms and studios that want memberships, classes, payments and reminders in one place at a flat price per studio. StudioOS is built for yoga, dance, Pilates, barre and Zumba studios; GymOS is for full gyms, and one account can run both.
- Timetable and bookings: a weekly grid with clash detection, plus booking rules such as a 12-hour free-cancellation window, no-shows counted as used, a 30-day book-ahead limit and a cap on open bookings.
- How you sell classes: everything included, a set number of classes, or pay per visit, with class packs and monthly top-ups.
- Billing: installments, freeze days, extensions, dues calculated to a date, automatic invoices and a full payment ledger.
- Automations: four prebuilt reminders: before a membership ends, after a missed payment, on a birthday and after a lapse, each with its own channel (WhatsApp from your own number, or email) and send time.
- Members: a mobile member portal showing plan, expiry, payment schedule, receipts and assigned workouts, plus a public page with your plans and timetable.

#When might Svich not be the right fit?
Svich is a good match for one-location studios and gyms that want the basics done well. Check these points in a demo if any of them is essential to you:
- A branded app in the App Store and Google Play. Native app-store apps aren’t among Svich’s listed features; members use the mobile web portal.
- Automatic card or bank debits for recurring memberships. Payment-gateway auto-debit isn’t among Svich’s listed features, so ask how recurring payments would work for you.
- Billing in several currencies. Multi-currency isn’t listed; Svich prices are in US dollars.
- Several locations under one login. This sits in the Enterprise plan, which is priced on request.
#Glofox migration checklist and timeline
Here is a member message you can adapt for week three:
“Hi Priya, from 14 November we’re moving bookings to a new system. Your plan, your remaining 6 classes and your renewal date all stay the same. You’ll get a sign-in link by text on the 12th. Any questions, just reply here. Sam, Northside Pilates.”
Name the number of classes left. That one detail answers the question most members will ask.
